The Parthenon
Among the many Greek works was the Parthenon. They used three different styles of columns in their buildings. Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. The Parthenon was built between 447 and 432 B.C. It was approximately 230 feet long and 100 feet wide. Inside was a golden and ivory statue of Athena, about 43 feet tall. The Athenians came to worship her every four years.
Greeks often made and painted pottery. Large vases often had scenes from Greek myths. Any temples that were made were covered with Greek scultpure work.
